Founded in 2010 by Burak Onur Erdem, Rezonans has become one of the prominent choirs of Turkey within a few seasons. The choir performs regularly in leading choral festivals of Europe and sings under the baton of world-renowned conductors.
The choir worked with Grammy© award winning composer Eric Whitacre, Nigel Short, former member of the famous British a capella band King’s Singers, Jo-Micheal Scheibe, the president of American Choral Directors Association, Volker Hempfling, among the most important living conductors of Germany and Georg Grün, also one of the special conductors of Germany.
Rezonans has been selected Turkey’s Choir of the Year by the Donizetti Classical Music Awards in 2017. In the same year, choir won the third prize in Monographic Category of the Arezzo Choral Competition within European Grand Prix and qualified to final stage. Rezonans also took place in Fano Choral Festival by giving two special concerts one of which was the opening concert of festival.

Rezonans members has been proudly carrying the joy of representing Turkey 26 times
at a refined artistic level on international platforms.
Rezonans participated in the prestigious choral event, International Choral Competition Marktoberdorf and awarded with Internationally Very Good Choir certificate. The choir represented Turkey in the largest choral festival of Europe, Europa Cantat Festival and sang Turkish music with 5.000 participants in Hungary. The choir also was the first Turkish choir to take part in the legendary Cork International Fleischmann Trophy and won the second prize in 2016. In 2018, the choir attended to The International May Choir Competition in Varna and won “The Best Young Conductor” prize. Then, choir successfully represented Turkey with acclaimed concerts in the Europa Cantat Festival in Tallinn.
The choir has performed two concerts conducted by the renowned German conductor Frieder Bernius in 2021, with a unique repertoire of baroque and romantic period music and traditional Turkish music.
The choir performed the world premieres of Hasan Uçarsu, Nedim Yıldız and Özkan Manav compositions and Turkish premieres of Wolfram Buchenberg, Lorenzo Donati, Eric Whitacre, Franz Herzog ve Kamran İnce compositions.
In 2022, the choir is continuing rehearsals for premieres of Volkan Akkoç ve Emre Orhon compositions and
"Hasan Uçarsu: Complete a cappella choral compositions" studio recording.
